Background

Dominique Forays works as a Full Professor at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) and holds the Chair of Economics and Management of Innovation (CEMI). His expertise includes the economics of innovation and knowledge and the economic policy implications of the new knowledge-based economy. He obtained his PhD from the Université Lumière-Lyon focusing on the Economics of Technological Change (1988).

Currently, he is a member of the Swiss Council for Science (SWR) and the chairman of the Advisory Board of the Swiss Economic Research Institute (KOF).
